Walk-in Policy
Thornton Medical Center (TMC) was established
in 1982 in order to provide a quality and convenient health care
setting. We have always been open on weekends, evenings, and without
appointment.
In order to continue to serve your needs, and
to do so in a timely manner, we must set forth some policies.
The Walk-in clinic is for people with acute
illnesses and injuries for which making an appointment could result
in undue harm to that individual.
Please present your current medical insurance
card and any co-payment required at time of check in. This will
expedite the entire process.
TMC reserves the right to see people in order
of medical necessity.
TMC reserves the right to deal with those issues
of most urgent medical need and request that non-urgent issues
be dealt with at a follow-up scheduled appointment.
TMC promises that you will be seen by the clinician
on duty, however he/she may not be your usual or preferred provider.
Waiting times are variable, dependent upon
patient volume and severity/complexity of presenting medical problems.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide health
care for you and your family, and we hope this statement clarifies
the operation of our Walk-in facility.
